TP-Link EX230v Router – LED Status Light Guide

Understanding the LED indicators on your TP-Link EX230v router can help you ensure it's functioning optimally. Below is a guide to each LED and its meanings:

Power LED

  • Solid Green: Router is powered on and operating normally.

  • Off: Router is powered off.

Internet LED

  • Solid Green: Connected to the internet.

  • Flashing Green: Data is being transmitted or received.

  • Solid Red: No internet connection detected.

2.4GHz Wi-Fi LED

  • Solid Green: 2.4GHz wireless band is active.

  • Flashing Green: Data is being transmitted over the 2.4GHz band.

  • Off: 2.4GHz band is disabled.

5GHz Wi-Fi LED

  • Solid Green: 5GHz wireless band is active.

  • Flashing Green: Data is being transmitted over the 5GHz band.

  • Off: 5GHz band is disabled.

LAN (Ethernet) LEDs

  • Solid Green: Device connected to the corresponding LAN port.

  • Flashing Green: Data is being transmitted or received through the LAN port.

  • Off: No device connected to the LAN port.

WPS LED

  • Flashing Green: WPS connection is in progress.

  • Solid Green: WPS connection established successfully.

  • Off: WPS is not active.

USB LED

  • Solid Green: USB device is connected and recognized.

  • Flashing Green: Data is being transmitted or received via the USB port.

  • Off: No USB device connected.

Phone LED (VoIP)

  • Solid Green: VoIP service is registered and ready.

  • Flashing Green: Phone is in use or there's an incoming call.

  • Off: VoIP service is not registered.
